The family of Mark Duane Todd II, of Wyandotte, is saddened to announce his passing on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the age of 48 years.
Beloved husband of Lori. Dearest father of Shawna (Josh) and Tyler (Bethany). Proud grandfather of Caleb, Leia, and Jaxon.
On March 29, 1975 Mark and Rose Todd welcomed a baby boy into the world at Riverside Hospital in Trenton, Michigan. Mark is the loving brother of David (Janette) and Jenifer (Shannon). He is survived by many extended family members. The dear son-in-law of Dianne; brother-in-law of Renee (Ryan); and uncle of Riley, Chase, Ella, Reese, and Race. He is survived by many cousins as well as friends who became like family to him over the years.
Mark’s life was centered around caring for the ones he loved. He loved his parents deeply and tried to care for them in whatever ways he could. In High School, he met the love of his life, Lori, and they’ve been inseparable since. Together they raised Shawna and Tyler. Mark was a great father who cared deeply for his children and looked for ways to support and encourage them as they made their way through life. The greatest reward for raising children is getting to have grandchildren. Mark couldn’t have been prouder of his grandkids and he was a wonderful grandfather. They were so special to him.
Mark lived a full life and enjoyed both his work and his downtime. He was handy and could fix anything. He often made his way to his mother-in-law Dianne’s house to visit. While there, they might find a project that needed attention and Mark was always willing to help. Mark loved the outdoors and especially loved CAMPING. He and Lori would get away to local campgrounds on the weekend whenever possible. It was their happy place. Mark also loved his Jeep and was a dedicated member of the Outlaw Jeep Group. Sometimes his love of camping and Jeeps collided. He and Lori would hitch up the camper and take the Jeep to an Outlaw event. The time he spent camping with family were some of his fondest memories.
The love and care that Mark had for his family and friends will continue to live on as an inspiration in their lives. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Visitation will take place at Solosy Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 3:00 PM.
